The Fondation des caisses populaires acadiennes unveils the names of the 2006-2007 scholarship winners

Place de l’Acadie, Caraquet, N.B. - The Fondation des caisses populaires acadiennes drew names to find who the scholarship holders would be for 2006-2007 and is pleased to announce the names of the winners. This year, 50 scholarship grants valued at $1,000 each were distributed in the five regions where the Caisses populaires acadiennes and its affiliated Cooperatives do business.

The contest was held from mid-January to the end of March and the random draw was held on April 28 at Place de l'Acadie, the Fondation des caisses populaires acadiennes head office.

The Caisses populaires acadiennes, affiliated Cooperatives, support institutions and Mouvement des caisses populaires acadiennes subsidiaries would like to congratulate the 2006-2007 Fondation des caisses populaires acadiennes scholarship winners and wish them the best of success in their post-secondary studies.

    The scholarship grants will be given out during Cooperation Week held in October 2006.

    The Fondation is a support institution of the Mouvement des caisses populaires acadiennes, which manages scholarship funds and pays out $50,000 annually in scholarship grants, in addition to being actively and financially involved with a number of different partners.

    Since 1983, the Fondation des caisses populaires acadiennes awarded more than a million dollars in post-secondary scholarship grants to over 2,000 young people.
